Happy New Year!

We’re kicking off 2017 with some awesome things to check out!

January is always a great time to get started learning new things, and Area515 Maker Space can help you jump-start the year with some exciting events!

First, this Saturday, January 7, we’ve got a Learn to Solder Workshop! For just five bucks, you’ll get access to all the tools and materials you’ll need to build a cute robot lapel pin that lights up. You can sign up here on Eventbrite, or check out the event on Facebook for more information.

Next: on Thursday, January 19, Spencer Herzberg will be hosting a Getting Started with Cutting Boards informational session. He’ll be sharing how you can start making your own boards, and if we have enough interest, we might just hold a workshop later this spring! Come check it out!

Of course, we haven’t forgotten about our monthly meetups or open houses, either. We’ll still be hosting our Electronics Club (formerly Arduino Club) Meetup on the 11th, 3D Printing Meetup on the 16th, and the Ham/Amateur Radio Meetup on the 25th. Our Open Houses, as usual, will occur every Tuesday evening at 7:00.

We’ll be starting to transition into our new space in the building during this time as well, so please excuse the mess…and if you’ve got time and useful skills that would assist in the move, we’d love to have some help as well! Thanks as always, and let’s make 2017 a great one! Happy Making!
