Maker Faire 2016 Sneak Peek
Maker Faire’s right around the corner…
We wanted to show you a couple of projects our members have been working on that will (hopefully) make an appearance at the 2016 Des Moines Mini Maker Faire! Come check out the Area515 booth at the Science Center this Monday. We promise you’ll find something awesome!
We’ve got some excellent projects to share with you this year. Ray Scheufler’s been working on a word clock (similar to this design). Here’s a brief look at the laser cutter in action, being used to create the clock face. Pardon the weird noises.
ACTION SHOT!
Chris Johnson has been hard at work building 3D printers as well. We’re hoping to have at least one of these models (in-progress here) to show off at the booth. Nabíl Hanke’s RC car (built from scratch) will be on display, too! There are quite a few more surprises in store, so stop by our booth at the Des Moines Mini Maker Faire on Labor Day!
Cool stuff. Great post!
