Artist in Residence – Celeste Moreno

Celeste Moreno received a dual degree in science in art through the Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration program at Iowa State University.

Moreno believes that science and art are not opposites but are symbiotic pathways to understanding our world. Her work focuses on communicating scientific concepts through artistic and experimental methods such as digital painting, 3D printing, and multimedia installations. Moreno “sciart” portfolio includes animations for research labs, a life sized reconstruction of a wooly mammoth’s foot, drawings of the human figure, and 3D printed blood vessels.
